The old streets
In the Powells Estate streets, late Victorian, Federation and Inter-War houses on small lots carry wiring of every vintage. After-hours faults in these houses often trace to an old join, a perished cable or a board extended one time too many.
We isolate the failed circuit, check for heat in the board and walls, and restore power to the rest of the home where possible. The permanent repair is quoted in writing before it begins.
Street out, or just you?
If the whole street is out, that is a network matter — Ausgrid supplies the suburb and publishes incidents and restoration estimates on its outage page.
If only your home is dark, the problem is yours: a main switch that will not stay up, a blown service fuse, or a fault inside the board — and those are exactly what we attend, day or night.
What to do while you wait
