Shop, office and cafe electrical fit-outs

Fitting out a new shop, cafe or office? We handle the electrical scope end to end - power, lighting, data, exit signs and testing - to your program and your builder's schedule.

## What's included
- Full retail, hospitality and office fit-outs
- Three-phase power for kitchens and workshops
- Emergency & exit lighting compliance
- Data and comms cabling to workstations
- Testing, tagging and CoC on completion
- After-hours and staged works to keep you trading

## Overview
Commercial electrical fit-outs are a different game to residential — the program is tighter, the sign-offs are more formal and the tenancy conditions dictate what you can and can't do inside the shell. We work as the electrical trade inside builder-led fit-outs and directly for tenants: sub-mains from the tenancy DB, general power to every workstation and kitchen bench, three-phase for commercial ovens, cool rooms and workshops, dedicated LED lighting circuits, exit and emergency lighting to AS 2293, data and comms cabling to workstations, and full testing and tagging on handover.
For hospitality and retail we plan works around trading hours — after-hours and weekend shifts to keep you open — and stage the electrical works so the builder can keep moving. For office fit-outs we coordinate with the base-building electrician, deliver the tenancy DB, sub-mains, general lighting and power, and hand over a fully tested and tagged tenancy with the electrical safety report the landlord's insurance requires.
Every commercial project ends with the same package: full test results, exit and emergency lighting log, test-and-tag register, Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, and as-installed drawings if we designed the layout. $20M public liability and full workers cover — certificates on request for any site induction.

## Fixed pricing
$6,000–$60,000 AUD per fit-out. Workmanship warranty 24 months. Typical on-site duration ~40 hours.

## Symptoms we hear about
- Landlord requires an electrical compliance report before fitout starts
- Existing tenancy switchboard lacks capacity for new equipment
- Fitout drawings need electrical, data and comms coordination
- Emergency lighting or exit signs missing or expired

## Common causes
- Base-build electrical designed for a different use class
- No dedicated tenancy sub-board
- Old fluorescent lighting scheduled for LED replacement
- Missing test-and-tag records for portable equipment

## How we handle it
1. **Design coordination** — We work with the fitout designer, mechanical trades and IT to lock in lighting, GPO, data and emergency lighting positions.
2. **Sub-board and rough-in** — We install the tenancy sub-board, rough-in wall and ceiling cabling, and coordinate outages with the building manager.
3. **Fit-off and commissioning** — Fittings installed, GPOs terminated, emergency lighting tested and logged, comms cables patched.
4. **Certification** — Full test to AS/NZS 3000, emergency lighting test to AS 2293.2, CCEW and compliance certificates issued for the building owner.

## Applicable standards
- AS/NZS 3000:2018 — general wiring rules
- AS 2293.2 — Emergency escape lighting maintenance
- AS/NZS 3760 — In-service safety inspection (test & tag)
