## What's included
- Oven element, thermostat and control repairs
- Cooktop element, hob switch and induction fault diagnosis
- Dishwasher electrical fault and RCD-trip diagnosis
- Washing machine and dryer motor / control repairs
- Refrigerator and freezer thermostat and compressor start faults
- Hard-wired appliance replacement and swap-outs

## Overview
The electrical side of household appliances is licensed electrical work in NSW — a blown oven element, a dead cooktop hob, a dishwasher that trips the safety switch, or a fridge that won't start are all faults an electrician diagnoses and repairs. We carry common oven elements, thermostats, hob switches and starting capacitors on the van, and most repairs are done the same visit.
Common jobs across Sydney: oven not heating (element or thermostat), cooktop with one dead hob (element or switch), induction cooktop with error code (control board or induction coil), dishwasher tripping the RCD (heater element earth leak — extremely common), washing machine that fills but won't spin (motor brushes or capacitor), dryer that runs but no heat (element or thermostat), fridge/freezer that won't start (compressor start relay or capacitor).
Where the appliance is beyond economical repair we say so — no upselling parts into a dying machine. Hard-wired swap-outs of a new oven, cooktop or dryer are also part of our scope, including any circuit or isolator upgrades needed.

## Fixed pricing
$180–$550 AUD per repair. Workmanship warranty 12 months. Typical on-site duration ~1.5 hours.

## FAQs
**Can any electrician repair appliances?**
The electrical work on hard-wired appliances (ovens, cooktops, hardwired dryers, hardwired dishwashers) is licensed electrical work in NSW. We handle the electrical side — for warranty repairs on modern appliances still under manufacturer warranty, the OEM technician is usually the better call.

**How much does an oven element replacement cost?**
Typically $250-$450 fitted including the element, depending on brand and access. Genuine parts for premium brands (Miele, Gaggenau, Neff) cost more.

**Is my dishwasher tripping the safety switch a big problem?**
It's usually a failed heater element earth-leaking to the tub — very common on dishwashers 5-10 years old. Element replacement is a routine fix on most brands.

**Should I repair or replace my appliance?**
Rule of thumb: if the repair is more than 50% of a new appliance and the machine is more than 8 years old, replace. We tell you honestly on the diagnostic visit — no upselling doomed repairs.

**Can you install a new oven or cooktop I've bought?**
Yes — supply-only install of your new hard-wired oven, cooktop or dryer including any isolator or circuit upgrade required. Certificate of Compliance issued.

**Do you carry parts on the van?**
We carry common oven elements, thermostats, hob switches, motor brushes and starting capacitors for major brands (Westinghouse, Chef, Bosch, Fisher & Paykel, Electrolux). Rare parts are ordered on a 2-5 day turnaround.
